Ordering from the Shop
The information on this page refers to U.K. Sales only. For sales to overseas customers, please contact us for details.

To order any shop item, simply quote the item No. and brief description, using any of the following methods:
Online - Order online using the secure shopping system. Simply select the items you wish to order and follow the steps on the website.
Phone, Post, Email or Fax - Please use whichever method is most convenient. The phone and fax lines are open 8am-9pm. Please phone before sending a fax.

Advice - If you need any help, further product information or other advice, please contact us. Good customer relations is our business.

Carriage / Postage (U.K. only)
- Carriage costs will always be significant on wood products, so we have developed a system which keeps your cost to a minimum whilst giving us a realistic amount to pay the carriers. Alternatively, orders can be collected from our workshop.

Carriage on all orders is charged as follows.
- 10% of order value up to £50.00 (minimum £2.50)
- 8% of order value over £50.00

Orders valued under £135 will be sent by Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service, unless next day courier service is requested.
Orders over £135 will usually be sent on the next day service, as costs are similar to the standard parcel service.
Next Day Service
- Upto 5kg costs £7 .50
- 5-10kg costs £10 .50

We will need to recieve payment for your order before dispatch. Please use any of the methods listed below.
Credit/Debit Card. Transactions are processed by Nochex, a secure UK based online payment company, accredited by the D.T.I
Paypal accepts credit/debit cards.
Online Banking. You can use 'third party transfer' to electronically transfer money to our account. No credit card required. We can supply our account details at the time of ordering.
UK Cheque/Postal Order, made payable to Thornwood Designs
We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, but if you are not we will gladly refund the full purchase price. However, all delivery and return carriage costs must be met by the customer.

The following conditions apply.
- Any goods damaged in transit, must be notified to us within 24 hours of delivery, so that we can inform the carrier. We may be able to reimburse some of the carriage costs.
- If you wish to return an order you must advise us in writing within 7 working days of receipt.
